About me
With over 35 years of experience in education, Lea Hammond has dedicated her life to the education of children in school, at church and her own. For the past 19 years, she has proudly served with Concept Schools, where her journey has included roles as an office assistant, art teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Her three decades as a teacher built the foundation for her deep passion for student growth and instructional leadership.Lea holds bachelor’s degrees in both Art and Education, as well as a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University. This strong academic background has supported her mission to cultivate dynamic, student-centered learning environments throughout her career.Currently serving as the North Ohio Director of Teaching and Learning, Lea brings heart, wisdom, and a relentless drive to support educators and enhance student achievement across the region. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to empowering teachers and fostering a culture of continuous growth.Outside of her professional life, Lea is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband are blessed with two daughters, two wonderful sons-in-law, and seven beloved grandchildren. Her faith and family are the cornerstones of her life.Lea also finds joy in the arts, spending time with her dogs, and getting lost in a good book. Her love for God, education, and people shines through in everything she does, making her a respected leader and cherished mentor in the educational community.
