Esra Solmaz is the Assistant Principal of STEM & Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park in Chicago, Illinois. With over a decade oAf teaching experience spanning middle and high school levels, she has instructed subjects such as General Science, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Environmental Sustainability, and Scientific Research. In her current leadership role, Ms. Solmaz oversees STEM-related events, promotes project-based learning, and spearheads the school's CTE initiatives. She is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to explore various careers and acquire essential skills during their high school years. Ms. Solmaz is recognized for setting high standards and expectations for her students, fostering an environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and academic excellence.
